Buderim Bed and Breakfast
Issue
- a Buderim home owner contacted Flowwise with water flooding her bathroom after she did a load of washing in your three story property
- after we cleared the drain we located a fracture that was allowing a mass root intrusion into her pipe work, which choked the drain and allowed the line to fill all the way up to her second floor bathroom
- the fracture however was located under a 60,000 litre concrete water tank with no way of excavating to repair the fracture
- the property continued to be in danger of flooding if the fracture was unable to be repaired
- no machine access because of position and size of the water tank
- the fracture was quite sever and required grinding to reinstate bore
- the property operated a bed and breakfast and required a non disruptive repair option
- pipe access was good however it was on a steep section of a hill.
Solution
- repair was organised when no guests were present allowing for some time required to grind out pipe work
- high pressure jetter applied to remove large root mass and allow for better inspection of fracture
- grinding head applied to smooth out dislocation and reinstate bore
- repair liner was installed using existing pipe access points
- repairs was undertaken within one day and service was put back in operation for guests arriving the following day
- the repairs saved alot of time, money, and inconvenience for both the owner and the operation of the bed and breakfast business.
